Aimee on podium top spot

WHAT A HAUL – Aimee's association, Ishinryu, bagged a staggering 22 medals at the EKF English Championships – with every member of the squad picking up a gong.

They once again completely dominated the Kata on the first day of the tournament at Ponds Forge in Sheffield – taking eight gold, three silver and six bronze with Aimee making her mark for Ishinryu.

Female Kata Cadet 14-15yrs

It was another successive English National gold for Aimee as she retained her National title. Aimee only had three rounds to negotiate and started well with a sharp and strong Annan Kata winning 3 flags to 0.

The 2nd round semi-final saw Aimee perform Chatanyara Kushanku Kata to good effect beating her opponent 2 flags to 1.

The final saw Aimee opt to perform Unshu and a 3 flags to 0 win helped Aimee claim her 5th individual English National title. A remarkable achievement.
